Gestational diabetes advice
This diet that my doctor wants me on makes absolutely no sense. I’m being told to eat so many carbs per mean and so many carbs per snack. Yet, when I followed the diet for the first 2 day my numbers were sky high, including my fasting number. I’ve found that anytime I eat something with carbs in it (whole wheat bread, oatmeal) my numbers are through the roof. I stopped following the diet and started eating meat and veggies for meals, and snacks such as sugar free pudding, sugar free jello, veggies with hummus, cheese, and hard boiled eggs and my numbers have been perfect !! Why are doctors giving out diets with so many carbs when a person with gestational diabetes obviously can’t process out carbs the way they are suppose to ?
