“Different” crafting/art hobbies

I’m looking for a new hobby that involves some kind of crafting, but that isn’t overly reliant on being good at art. My partner is an artist and we have an art studio in the house, but it isn’t getting used as much as it deserves to be at the moment as he finds being in there by himself kinda lonely and so I want to pick up something so we can spend more time in there together, doing our own things. I love creating but painting and drawing stresses me out because how I want it to look and my ability to make it look that way aren’t matched in the slightest, and my OCD goes into overdrive when something doesn’t “look right” so I’ve given up trying to do anything that requires good drawing skills. I know things take practice but I never seem to improve, and I’ve accepted that I’m just not good at that sort of thing.

I do have a good eye for how’s thing should look though and enjoy making things that look nice, so I’m looking for something that’s interesting to do in the evenings. I like the idea of glass bunting or creating patterns on tiles (I’ve seen that alcoholic ink is great on tiles) or maybe even up-cycling on a small scale.

If anyone has any hobbies they think I might be interested in, or any tips and tricks on the ideas above, I’d love to hear them!
