Have to be Induced at 37 weeks due to gestational hypertension

Cass • First time mama 💜👣

So today I went in for my routine prenatal appointment - I'm 34 weeks tomorrow - and due to ongoing high blood pressure was sent to the hospital for evaluation.

At my appt 4 weeks ago it was perfectly normal, at my appt 2 weeks ago it was high twice, but they did blood work and urine test and found no signs of preeclampsia. Over the weekend it was high, and then today it was up in the 140s and high 3 times.

In the hospital they confirmed it stayed high the 2-3 hours I was there, but confirmed baby wasn't in any danger right now, and that again no signs of preeclampsia.

They're advising now that they want me to be induced around 37 weeks.

I'm freaking out as 1) we are not ready for her to be here in 3 weeks, and 2) I'm so worried about her being tiny and having issues (a friend just naturally had a 37 week baby (not induced) and she was ok, but tiny and had issues breastfeeding.

Has anyone else been through this? How'd it go?
