How soon is too soon

So I recently started dating my boyfriend in March and things got serious pretty quickly. We see each other every day and talk about marriage daily. I know that We want to spend together with each other but we are still saying “if” because we both feel like we need to date for a year before we get engaged. We only have one issue though, I’m scared of sex because I’m scared to get pregnant before we are married. Like I want to be engaged and married quickly because I want that fear to go away but I also don’t want to get married too soon. What’s everyone’s opinions?
