Can a Dr turn me away?

If I have backed up Dr bills, one of which is being sent to collections.
ETA: I have an appointment tomorrow. The appointment was made last week, so I'm wondering if they can turn me away when I show up tomorrow.

Not if it’s a hospital. A hospital legally cannot turn anyone away.

They probably will probably say you need to pay or set up a payment plan in order to be seen. I believe they have to give you a 30 day period to find a new doctor before officially terminating you as a patient.
