Want to get this written down as soon as possible to remember as much detail as I can!

My son was due on August 24th. I went to my doctor during my 35th week and I was having some pain so they checked me and I was 2CM dilated and 80% effaced. My daughter was born during her 35th week two years prior so they sent me to get steroid shots just in case. Well as the weeks went by he still hadn’t come. Every week from then on I was dilating .5 CM so when I went in for my 39 week check up at 39.2 I was 4CM dilated and the midwife decided to do a sweep. Well after I left I had no cramping and no spotting. I was disappointed because I was told he was most likely coming early, and my daughter came early so I did not want to be pregnant anymore! Well the next day, Tuesday around 10AM I started getting some contractions. They were around 10 minutes apart but would go on and off. I thought for sure I would have to go in Tuesday night, but I ended up getting a pretty good night sleep in between contractions. This morning, Wednesday, I woke up and contractions were still all over the place but we’re painful when they were coming. My husband and mom both stayed home with me and my two year old. I was upset most of the morning because I was uncomfortable, in pain, but the contractions weren’t getting close together to go to the hospital. Finally around 1245 I messaged my doctor explaining what was happening and what should I do. She called and asked that I come to the office at 1:45. Got there and they hooked me up to the machine. I’ve been crying most of the morning lol so when they start asking me questions I just cry more. The midwife comes in and says let me check you. I am 6CM with a bulging bag. She said let’s get you off the monitor and right to the hospital ! My husband and I drive home to grab our bags, my 2 year old is napping so I couldn’t even say goodbye to her which made me ten times more upset! I get to the hospital around 3ish. I get admitted, they start my IV, do an US, I’m walking around my room because this makes me feel better, and then the doctor comes in to check me. I am 9CM!!! She asks if I want any pain meds or for her to break my water and get the show

On the road. I didn’t have an option for pain meds with my daughter because I progressed so fast. I knew once my water was broken it was going to be hell but I wanted this over with so I said break the water. She broke my water at 4:05 and left telling me to call when I felt any

Change. Like 7 minutes later my body started pushing by itself and my son was born 4:32!! Ugh that last half hour is so brutal but it feels so good once it’s over! I do not remember them making me stop pushing when they start crowning so when they told me to hold on I was DYING!! The nurses all couldn’t believe that I was sitting there joking around at 9CM but everything worked out perfectly with this delivery and I’m so happy it’s over lol
