Water birth experiences please!

Hi mamas!

I’m considering a water birth this go around (3rd pregnancy, other 2 were natural births in a hospital where I labored in the tub but birthed in the bed because of hospital policy). I’m using a birth center this time and feel like I have so many options! But I have questions :)

How did you handle the ‘gross’ factor of sitting in a tub with all the blood/sweat/tears/amniotic fluid/poop etc that goes along with birth?

Did you get out while cord was still attached or deliver placenta in tub?

Did you tear? Did they repair in bed?

If you birthed another baby not in the water, how did it compare?
