So today makes 6 weeks since I got my industrial piercing done (I thought it was longer than that until I just checked, lol). I have some hypertrophic scarring on it, but it has been doing good so far up until a few days ago.

It felt great. I thought i was out of the woods (I thought it was 8 weeks) so I started twisting it in my ear. It felt great. No pain at ALL. I was even able to sleep on it. Then the next day after I got out of the shower, this thickish white/yellow fluid was around the piercing where the hypertrophic scar is. I wiped it off with a q-tip. Then when I cleaned it, it started to bleed.

There’s barely any pain. My ear isn’t red or hot, and the fluid isn’t green or smelly. In fact, it only did that once or twice.

I’ve been soaking in in warm salt water before I go to bed, and I was putting tea tree oil on the scar to dry it up once or twice a day (which I feel is actually working slowly). It will get crusty and bloody around that spot, but that’s it.

Does this look infected? Does it SOUND like it’s infected? Or did I just jump the gun and irritate it?
