Venting

I just wanted to hear everyone thoughts about my dilemma. My upcoming baby shower is coming up one of my best friends that I’ve known for 20 years sent me a text message to let me know that my baby shower falls on the same date as a football game opener of the season, she has season pass to see every home game and she is conflicted about whether she can go to my baby shower. My feelings were hurt that she doesn’t see the importance of coming to my shower versus a football game it should be a no brainer, at least I see it this way. I told her through text message that I’m sorry about conflict and I hope to see her at the shower. My husband thinks my response was giving her a guilt trip, it was just an honest response because I didn’t want to sugarcoat a response.
