How is it possible to de-dilate?!

Yes I’m really asking!

Last week I went it at 38 weeks got checked and was told I was 3cm 50% effaced high cervix!

I went in this morning and I was told I’m 1 cm 50% effaced high cervix

Doctor didn’t have much of an explanation & it was the SAME doctor that checked me the first time!

I’m so confused & a little disappointed. Not wanting to be induced again! We go in tomorrow for an ultrasound (forgot name but it’s to make sure she’s hitting all his goals before an induction) then Monday have an appointment for plan of action if he’s not here still
