Should I see alcohol at my baby shower?

My boyfriends mom is in charge of drinks & food for my baby shower while my mom is in charge of everything else. My boyfriends mom thinks there should be alcohol for the of age guests to enjoy but my mom (who doesn’t drink and completely against day drinking especially) thinks no alcohol should be allowed. I think it’s fine to but I could be wrong. We were going to put the alcohol in baby bottles for the adults to enjoy (for fun) and regular juice in bottles for kids to have so they don’t feel left out

I did at both of mine I’m Hispanic so our family’s are huge and we make a big event out of it I don’t drink normally so I had some nothing crazy it’s a shower not New Years party where everyone drinks till the drop lol I had some beers for the men that’s about it

Did a theme drink and beer at mine. Someone ended up bringing tequila and the boys all did shots. What’s the point of having a party if I’m not going to show my guests a good time. It was very “us” and I wouldn’t do a party any other way!

If you are ok with alcohol, have it! We meant to but didn't have the funds to stock a bar so we brought a bottle of something special we make up for parties and only a handful of people partook anyways. 
It's your baby shower, not your mom's. If you're ok with it, go for it. People should know better than to get sloshed anyways. 
I would color code the bottles, if that's what you plan to do. That way you don't have littles picking up boozy bottles.

I have never seen alcohol at a baby shower, and the idea of it sounds weird to me. But that might be just because most of the people I hang out with don't drink in general, so it just never crossed anyone's mind to serve it at that kind of function.

I've seen it done both ways, but typically nothing crazy. Mostly mimosas or wine.
