Neighbour Speeding
My neighbour has a habit of speeding- I'm talking going at least 100kms p/h down our road (residential, the speed limit is 60kms p/h and we live on a very long straight road). He does this EVERY night and today he was up and down and I was getting highly upset. For the first time ever I caught him in camera.
I happened to see he had friends over, obviously showing off. As soon as they saw me out with my phone they all went inside.
It annoys me because there are walkers and joggers and kids on their bikes and cats all using the road and then you get him who thinks he owns the road.
They've been very quiet now... I guess I have the power.
I'm not going to report it just yet. I'm going to see if he continues to drive like a jerk on our roads.
*Side note, this neighbour already doesn't like me because I complained twice about his dog who would literally, no exaggeration, no lie, bark for hours in end all day and all night. But he knows he can get into serious trouble should I report him for this driving- we're talking criminal charges and possible jail time.
Do you think I did the right thing by recording him?
**Thanks all, I feel better.
Bekki, unfortunately if I had to phone the police they'd never have made it in time, if they even bothered to come. We have hotlines to report bad driving in cases as our police are inundated.
