BBT complications

So, my husband and I have 8 dogs (all 30+lbs, yes it’s a zoo, yes we foster/rescue, etc), and we sleep with 6 of them every night (king bed+ twin bed).

My husband can wake up and do whatever, and the dogs don’t budge; the minute my eyes open they need to get up & go potty. This is making tracking my bbt extremely complicated because I can’t lay in bed to take it accurately without all of them knocking into me and moving.

I’m curious if it matters whether I take it before I actually wake up for the day or before our 2/3am potty break. I might be able to take it before the middle of the night potty break more easily, but I didn’t know if it mattered if I am not “awake awake” yet.
