How many pads should you go through a day?

I'm a heavy bleeder and still only use maybe 5-6 a day.

You might want to make sure you are buying the right type of pad.  My sisters have a heavy flow so they use heavier ones than I do.  If you are going through a lot of them you may need a pad for a heavier flow.

After my birth control I only need like 1 or 2 a day and even then I'm changing them before they're even remotely full. Before my birth control I had to change them every hour or 2.

I'm 12 like you and I only change one when I wake up. At about lunch time(12:00-1:00pm) then around 5. But at five I put an overnight pad on and then I change it again in the morning

What's a lot? I know it may be weird to talk about, but how many do you go through? If it's a lot, and a lot of clotting (looks like balls of tissue, kind of scary, but normal in proportion), you may consider seeing your doctor. Talk to your mom or anyone who can take you, and you could go to a general practitioner, or a gynecologist. If you're anything like I was, I didn't want to go to the gynecologist, and threw a fit because I didn't want an exam. Eventually you will need one, but as long as you are healthy, they might be able to figure it out by ultrasound, right under your belly button! Cool, huh? So unless there is a health risk and you aren't sexually active, you won't need an exam until you're 21. My gynecologist told me, at the end of the day, it's your vagina. Nobody can make you have an exam. Your comfort is key. But the bottom line is that if you are having heavy, painful periods, a mini pill can help you TREMENDOUSLY! Lightens your period, eases the cramps and usually helps with break outs! 😊

it depends in your flow I'm 16 and only use 6 to 7 pads a day or lesser it depends because some day I work out and working out helps the flow slow way down I recommend it and drink lots of water. when your going to sleep atleast wear the big pads not the thin ones even though they feel way more comfortable but the big ones help you to not have a bloody massacre in the morning because when you get up the blood rushes down and you have to quickly go to restroom or blood get every were .......sleeping suggestions is to sleep with your both knees close to your chest it will decrease the flow as you sleep ........ everybody periods come normal mines comes evey  three months which is weird but yea leave a comment if yall need help with anything else have a nice day
