Criticized for going to community college?

Question

So I am a senior in high school also taking dual credit and I have made the decision to stay home when I graduate and go to my local community college to enroll in their nursing program. It’s cheaper and I’ll already be graduating with an associates degree because of dual credit. Also I just want my RN license ( only two years ) then go to my Esthetician school to become a Aesthetician Nurse. I just wanted my RN license so I can have the medical background under my belt because it opens up more doors when you’re an Esthetician and I also want to open up my own med spa. People keep telling me I’m taking the “ easy way out” and I’m cheating myself of the “ college life” and just overall degrading me. 
Any advice?

Go back to them 5 years from now and ask them how they're dealing with their debt. Ask if it was worth it.
You do you. You're young, with time you will learn that peoples opinion on our life isn't important at all. They're not the ones who will be paying your debt, your bills, dealing with your problems. They do not matter as far as your choices are concerned.

i went to high school in Palo Alto, and the community college there had a lot of the same professors as Stanford 🤷🏻‍♀️ you’re getting the same education for much cheaper, and there really isn’t one “college experience” that you so desperately need. it’ll be great!

That extra money you are going to save to put towards getting your own stuff established sounds better than being debt. At least you’re taking college classes and trying to better your education. 
People will always judge how worn out a person’s shoes are, but won’t take one step from the path you took to get where you are. Let them talk. You know what’s best for you
