Child support question

What does it mean when they send you a packet to fill out and leave a note saying “your case is ready for legal”

It’s been three long years and finally they located him. We had to go through a diff state so they don’t give us updates. I’m wondering if this means that he finally took his paternity test and the state proved he’s the father? So now they’re going to get a support order together?

Edit: the state that my ex moved to doesn’t give any updates to me or my state.
