Late ovulation (day 17/18) & still get pregnant?

Hello - I'm hoping to hear success stories of anyone who ovulates late and has had success getting pregant (mine is usually day 17 or 18 in cycle) . This is my first month taking clomid (we have been trying for 14 months!)

I'm in the same boat. My cycles are usually short (23-25 days) and I don't ovulate until CD 16/17. I have had 2 previous miscarriages, which they think is luteal phase defect since I have such a short time frame between ovulation and menses. This causes low progesterone which can be a cause of recurrent miscarriage. This cycle is the first time my dr is having me start progesterone right after ovulating until "predicted period" to 1. Test for pregnancy, 2. Extend my cycle. I'll let you know! Should be testing next week!
