Car seats?? Help.

Question

Alright Ladies, the last thing I have left to purchase as a necessity is a car seat. What do you guys recommend? I’m thinking of doing a “travel system” car seat & stroller combo but so many different brands out there with pretty significant price ranges 🤦🏼‍♀️ looking too spend anywhere from 150-200$ . 
What did you ladies decide to go with?

We got the Graco Modes travel system. Not sure how much they are in the states...but here it was close to $600 😭😭😭😭 it’s a great travel system !!!

On top of safety ratings, I was also really watching for car seat weight and how the handle feels to carry. We will likely have snow when baby is born so a stroller isn’t really necessary for me until spring- meaning late May here... lol. 
I decided to go with the Graco Snugride Click connect 35- the car seat without the base is only 7.5 pounds whereas I saw and tested some that were up to 12.5. Makes a difference as baby gets bigger to carry that extra weight for sure!

I did the Graco snugride 35 and a Graco jogger ! I watched sales and got mine for 190 dollars for the travel system.

So this is pretty much how it ends up looking like and what I love best it’s that it’s a very light weight umbrella stroller. Hope this helps!

I did a weird combo lol. I purchased the Urbini Sonti car seat from the Walmart website (it’s on sale) and then I purchased the reversi model stroller in the same brand. So pretty much the stroller seat comes off like a travel system kind of and it comes with car seat adaptors for the car seat I mentioned. Everything came out to $130 total including the taxes from my state. They also have the 3 in 1 travel system (same brand) for less than $200 and depending on the color the cheaper it is!

We just got the Evenflo pivot xpand I found out that I hated baby trend with my first son and was not about to buy that again😂 but this one on amazon was $310? When at target or Walmart it’s somewhere between $350-$400 and it converts into both a double or a single without any extra pieces. I wish I had this with my first because I do have a stepdaughter and we bought a baby Trent stroller and that thing felt like we were pushing around a bus. I know that’s not in your price range but I wanted to explain. Plus the car seat is nice that comes with it. I know that there is an evenflo pivot travel system that is just the regular stroller and car seat but I’ve never used it. I just don’t recommend car seats with the middle piece you have to bring together like a puzzle before you can put it in the buckle piece between their legs. Long story short the ones that are separate medal pieces that can be used one at a time are going to be easier because it’s not fun with a squirmy baby trying to fit two pieces together😂

I've only bought graco car seats and strollers for my kids over the past 13 years. That said, the newer models are very difficult to remove from the base and the strollers need two hands to fold and unfold unlike the older models. For the first time ever with this baby, I'm considering avoiding graco.
