C-Section?

Question

FTM due in 2 days with no signs of labor yet. I know things can change in an instant but just want to do some research and ask some questions for all the mamas that have had planned (or unplanned) c-sections. How does the planning process go? Does it typically happen at 40 weeks? Or what can I expect from the procedure, before, and after? Tips? Everything I can get. I haven’t thought much about having one because I just thought she would come on her own but I don’t want to be blind if I end up having to do a c section 💓

FTMs hardly ever go into labor on their due dates. It’s pretty typical to go past 40 weeks. Your Dr. would also most likely try induction prior to going straight to a C-section unless there was complications with your or babies health. My 1st was 6 days late and my 2nd (now 11 days old) was a week late. Hang in there, I know those last couple weeks are rough!

Get all your chores done around the house - the recovery is rough and you will needs lots of rest and help; make sure you take pain meds regularly (as well as a stool softener; you’ll need loose fitting clothing and high waisted panties; take all the hospital undies that you can; the sooner you can get up and walk, the better.
