Helping a broke college kid

Ju

So yesterday was my first day of college for this semester. I had about a 20 minute break until my next class started so I went down to the bookstore. I had my books ready and was in line to pay when the girl behind me was talking to an associate about a textbook she needed. The associate had left to go check on the book and she stayed in line.

So I turned to her and said “are you taking profs name, and course?” She said yes and i told her if they don’t have the book here I can give it to you for free, since I already took the class and won’t be needing it. She looked so shocked and said thanks and we exchanged numbers so I can give it to her. Honestly, at that moment and the day of I had a tremendous headache and couldn’t even read right. But the next day, I felt so happy for helping somebody out. I get my books through financial aid and I knew who the teacher was.

The line at that bookstore was wrapping all the way to the outside and almost to the next building. As a college student I know how stressful it is to have to find the book you need before the first assignment (which is usually the following day or week). I really did feel so happy to help her out and I would do so again.
