Post first date confusion/sadness

OKAY so. Monday night I went on a date with a guy I used to go to sleepaway camp with and it went GREAT.

He kept saying he wanted to see me again and insinuated all these future circumstances that would occur. And while walking back we hadn’t kissed yet (though I had seen him try to go for it several times throughout the night), so I kissed him. Mid-kiss he was smiling so much and said “Finally. Fuck I should’ve done this earlier.”

He proceeded to walk with his arm around me the rest of the way and kept saying he was so happy I had kissed him and that he wished we could stay out longer. We kissed several more times along the way and he brought up again how he wanted to see me again and had a great time.

When we got to my place he said “I can’t decide if I want to take you out to dinner or have you come over and cook next time”. We agreed he shouldn’t come up bc we wanted it to be more than a one night stand. So we kissed goodnight again and he walked home.

I texted him when I got upstairs and he said “I had a great time tonight :)”. BUT HE HASNT TEXTED ME SINCE!

Am I crazy? Or is it weird that he said he was having a great time so many times and kept talking about future things w me and now hasn’t answered??

Please help me out. I overthink things so much, but if he liked me as much as he said/acted what is up?
