Sleeping with fan on with a newborn?

Is it okay to sleep with the ceiling fan on with our newborn in the room? I am a very hot sleeper and just realized I may need the fan off which I am already DREADING!! I live in TX so I can expect it to be hot a for another 3 months. If my baby is swaddled and warm should she be fine with the fan on?

A fan in the room actually reduces the risk of SIDS because of the air circulation! My husband and I sleep with 2 box fans blowing in our room and we're still going to have them when the baby is here, we'll just make sure they're not blowing directly on her lol

I would keep it going. We have a  smaller fan and only turn it off when its cold 😁

Better for newborns to be cooler than warmer. 
A major risk factor for SIDS is over heating. It happens because babies cannot regulate their body temperatures and parents tend to be over cautious about the baby being cold, so they over dress and swaddle. 
Additionally a SIDS prevention suggestion is to have noise while the baby sleeps. It prevents the baby from sleeping too soundly, which then they can forget to breathe. So the noise of a fan is actually really good too.
