IUD expulsion
Hi friends. I’ve had the Mirena IUD since December of 2015, and on Sunday night (August of 2019) it came out on its own. I was on my period, and was having severe severe cramps, so I went to take a hot shower and then checked the strings and they felt much longer than they should. A few hours later I went back to the bathroom and the stem of the IUD was protruding from my cervix. I sat there and gently tugged on the strings until it came out and the second it did, all of the pain stopped. I’ve made an appointment with my GYN but she couldn’t get me in until next week. Has anyone else had this happen to them??
