After episiotomy, how long for stitches to dissolve? Did you wait for gp check up?

Now 6 weeks pp today and started to sting abit when I pee, can't see any stitches but can't really tell bc didn't look what they were like at beginning

I waited for my appointment, doctor said it still was raw and to sit in the tub to get the remaining stitches out . Now I’m 8 weeks and 3 days pp and just sore

If you’re 6 weeks postpartum, do you not have your postpartum appointment this week (or very soon) with your doctor? I had a similar feeling around 4-5 weeks pp and my doctor confirmed they were gone at my six week pp appointment.
