Maybe I’m being selfish but today I told him that and he didn’t really try to do or say anything to help. He texted back an hour later saying “aw I’m sorry you feel that way” and that’s it

Not everyone is great at making others feel better and some don’t really know how or what to do to make someone feel better. My bf usually just sits an listens to me vent an occasionally throws in his opinions or whatever it maybe.

Sometimes boys just aren't good at comforting and especially through text things can be harder. I would talk to him about it though, maybe he just doesn't know how to express himself and didn't mean to come off as uninterested

Mine replied telling me to talk to my friends about it. I was so mad. Then I asked him to come over because I needed to be held (soppy I know) and I did and I explained it isn’t the same to talk to girlfriends.

Some people find it really hard to comfort others. Personally I’m very empathetic, always listen and offer advice...but i’ve cried in front of some friends and had an awkward pat on the back with a “there, there” 😂 but I know they love and care for me!! It’s nice to have someone there to go above and beyond to comfort you, but that’s not everyone nature. Your SO still cares for you deeply and I’m sure genuinely is sorry that you’re feeling shitty. I hope you feel better!

That’s not bad 🤷🏽‍♀️ Texting never really helps.  If I really want to talk things over and need sympathy, it’s always on the phone (long distance, see each other very few months) vent and then move on.
