Menstrual Cup?

So I’m 15 almost 16 and I have a kind of heavy, irregular flow. It skips months at a time and I have clots and it’s honestly scary for me since I’ve been having it for about 3 - 4 years (since the beginning of 7th grade, I’m currently a sophomore). I was wondering if I could get advice on if a menstrual cup is worth it. I wear night time pads and super sized tampons (when I don’t wanna deal with the pads) and I don’t know if i want blood on my hands if I can help it. The explanations are a bit weird from what I’ve seen already and they sound like something from a twisted movie ? How would I deal with it at school, would I have to wash it every time I took it out and put it in? It seems kinda complicated 😓 is it painful?

In your case i would read on the organicup website. They have so much helpful information. I find a menstrual cuo totally worth it. Its also better for the environment and not as uncomfortable as it sounds. When you get a grip on how it works and what works for you you dont feel it. You also dont need to deal with it at school cuz it can stay in up to 12 hours. (with heavy flow i would recommend a bit less then 12 hours but still long enough.

You can totally do it!! I wish my mom would’ve told me about the cup when I was your age...so much more comfortable than tampons. I have an extremely heavy flow, and I use the blossom cup. It’s on amazon for like $12 and if it doesn’t work for you, they’ll refund your money. 
As far as changing it while you’re out, I carry a peri bottle with me but I’ve only changed it once while I’ve been out of my house (this is only my second month using the cup). Wipes are wonderful to have with you as well! 
It is a bit strange at first, it does take some getting used to and you will get blood on your hands most of the time but it’s very minimal, even with a heavy flow.

It’s not complicated it just takes some learning. I think it’s definitely worth it. It isn’t painful, I never feel it in there unless I put it in wrong and my body’s telling me to fix it. As for changing it at school, you may have to at first when you’re learning but just take the stall that has a sink or buy wipes made to clean them. You will get blood on you hand, and you should start getting comfortable with the idea of that because it’s only blood and it’s your blood.
