Finally! August 29.. 7 days overdue. Only 1cm dilated with no contractions whatsoever. I thought I was going to have to be induced. Well all that changed!

I went in for a regular appointment at 10am for a membrane sweep (3rd one btw), and left with tiny cramps but nothing major! Still 1cm, high cervix..

I went home to sit on my exercise ball.

Did my normal routine until about 8pm, when I started having some tight Braxton Hicks, about 15 min apart..

They were continuous but didn’t feel like they were getting much stronger.

Until midnight hit, BOY THOSE WEREN’T BRAXTON HICKS ANYMORE.

I woke up my fiancé, told him I was totally in stages of labor. Hospital is 1 hour away, so we finally get out of the house a little after 1am.

They are so strong and intense it hurts to sit in the vehicle and I honestly thought, “what if I don’t even make it there..”

I get to the hospital at 2:15am, and in my room at 2:20am.

I am 5cm dilated at about 3am.

Midwife heads out to admit me.

Well.. 15 min later, I feel his head and I yell to everyone “next contraction I gotta push” 😂 no medication time! I thought I was going to pass out, no kidding.

My second baby and BOY DID I FORGET HOW INTENSE BIRTH IS.

3:15am hits, and I’m already pushing on contraction.

4-5 pushes later, and he’s here!

A few hours of labor, but 1-2 hours of complete active labor!

No signs until last minute!!

Everyone’s bodies are different but when some say seconds are fast- they aren’t kidding!!

41 weeks gestation.. 829/2019

7 lbs, 15oz 19in long..
