When you transitioned to a toddler bed, did you add a guardrail to the bed or no?

We wrapped a pool noodle in a blanket and stuck it under the fitted sheet. Keeps her from falling out (which she did regularly without it) and its soft so still comfy if she rolls into it. It stays put surprisingly well, but you HAVE to wrap it in a blanket or towel or it’ll slide around under the sheet.

We just put the mattress on the floor for a week or two. Then when she got good at sleeping like that we put it on the frame. Now she has a twin bed with a frame and box spring.
