Yeast diaper rash?

Anyone’s little ones suffered through a yeast diaper rash? We just got a prescription cream for our little guy today and I’m hoping it works FAST because I cannot take his screaming in pain any longer. It breaks my heart 😔 he’s barely sleeping because of the pain so we’re all just on edge over here. Please tell me it gets better fast!

It should work fast! Layer a barrier cream like aquaphor on first, to soothe and protect their little bum and then the medicated cream on top of that. You can also do a baking soda bath to help as well- google it for instructions. Try and give his bum some fresh air time as much as you can, and when he needs a diaper change you can gently wipe with a warm wash cloth instead of wipes. Fingers crossed It will

I would not put a barrier cream on first. That blocks the medication from absorbing properly. You can use a barrier cream in between doses of the antifungal
