Can ovulation take place post LH surge when LH levels are low?

Question

I had my LH surge on day 14-15, both fertility friend and Glow predicted ovulation on day 15. As I continue to chart BBT, fertility friend changed the ovulation from day 15 to 17. So I’m confused on whether ovulation can take place when LH is negative? Thoughts? Thanks.

Answer

First, you don’t ovulate the day of your surge. It is usually a day or so later. 
Second: we always have LH in our bodies, so it’s impossible to get a “negative” LH test. 
Also, it’s a surge. And stays high for a day or two and even after ovulation you can still pick it up ...
I wouldn’t temp though. It’s been proven that BBT is not a reliable method to chart ovulation. 
And are you using opks or just apps?
