6 weeks 6 days no baby?

Question

I went to my first appointment and got an ultrasound sound (not a transvaginal) and my doctor said they couldn’t see the baby but it might be because it’s too early. He said the gestational sac is fine but I’m just a little nervous that not seeing the baby may be bad. They have me coming back next week again but has this happened to anyone at 6weeks 6 days and everything turn out fine?

Edit: this post was from 09/2019 for those who are reading this, is was a successful pregnancy and my son is now 2!

They should have done transvaginal. You can’t see anything that early with abdominal.

I would bet you couldn't see anything because it was abdominal. This is my transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks 5 days and you can clearly see the baby but my doctor said if it was abdominal there would have been no chance of seeing anything.

Are you absolutely certain of your ovulation dates? I just had an abdominal scan at 7 weeks 2 days (ivf) and the baby was very clear. But it could be different for different women. 
However I had a blighted ovum last year when they saw nothing at 7 weeks.

Transvaginal at 5 weeks, no baby just sac and yolk I’m now almost 16 weeks and seen baby today they’re doing very well. I know it says 8 weeks my ovulation was way off
