When did i ovulate?

Cycle day 18 today 
Yesterday I felt ovary pain in my left side
Hopefully ovulation 
Been BD every other day 
I heard after you get a surge to do it the next 2 days, true or false??

You got your first positive in CD 16. Typically you ovulate 12-48hrs after you get your first positive test. You should have been testing twice a day once the test started to get darker.
But from the sounds of it, you probably ovulated yesterday.
