Confused

Ok so me and my OH have decided to start ttc. We did the dance around glow said I was ovulating. I haven’t really had any symptoms that I couldn’t pass off as pms like sore boobs and cramps ( I don’t get these every month before af but it’s not uncommon today makes me 13dpo and af due tomorrow.

So I’ve decided to check my cervix position and I can hardly reach it with my middle finger and it’s kinda soft. How soon before af comes is your cervix supposed to harden and drop??

Last night I had pinching in my right lower pelvis as well as the cramps. I even dreamt I was having a miscarriage because I could obviously feel it while I was asleep.

So I’ve tested today and a BFN.

Just a bit confused as why my cervix is so high and soft of AF is due tomorrow. I’m always on time with AF. So I guess I’ll see tomorrow, but can anyone tell me if they have had a high soft cervix before AF?? It’s confusing the **** out of me to be honest.
