Why do you guys wear makeup? I’m asking because I really like makeup and I think it’s like art and you can be so creative with it and play with so many colours and create any look you want and I think putting it on is fun. But today my brother told me that girls only wear make up to look pretty. He showed me a bunch of pictures of girls with and without makeup and said that all of these girls are ugly and none of them wear makeup to “be creative”.

Then he went online and searched up “why do girls wear makeup” and it said girls have darker eyes and lips and wear makeup to look attractive and impress men. And then later by myself I kept searching and I saw lots of things where girls were saying that they wear make up to impress themselves and to feel confident in themselves and that they aren’t wearing it to impress men. And now I’m thinking about why girls think they need makeup to feel confident. And now I feel like I shouldn’t like makeup. I was just wondering what your opinions are.
