Hemorrhoids?

I'm 26 and for some reason have never known about it heard about these? I am 33 weeks pregnant. Yesterday I went to have a BM and the toilet was full of blood. I quickly checked and could tell it wasnt vaginal. Called my ob just to make sure and confirmed again it wasnt and they said "could be hemorrhoids". After googling, I'm finding no solid answer. Examining the area the best I can and i see nothing. Had a BM this morning after breakfast and again toilet water is bright red as well as red on the toilet paper, not vaginal.

Has anyone had this? Is this normal? I'm kind of freaking out!
