Should I be as embarrassed as I am?

Fiancé and I are about to get married, and everyone just received their invitations. Ive never been to a wedding, and he hasnt since he was a toddler. All of our friends haven’t been married yet either, so this is all “new” to us and our families to be honest. Our wedding is small, only about 20 of our closest family and friends. We sent out invitations with the place, date and time, along with a details insert that said where to park, a rough timeline of events, our phone #’s if anyone had any questions; and where were registered. Not long after mailing invites out, I discovered it’s apparently superrrrrrr tacky to advertise where you’re registered at with invitations!!! We don’t have a wedding website since it’s such a small amount of guests and we’re not having a shower, and had no idea apparently it’s really tacky and frowned upon. Now I’m super embarrassed and feel gift grabby. Advice? Should I reach out to everyone and apologize?

Pretty sure I put where we were registered on our invitations as well. I wouldn’t be embarrassed. It’s pretty common, at least where I’m from in MN.

Every wedding invite I’ve ever received had information about the registry on it. We had a wedding website and I put “for registry information please visit our website” 
It might be a tacky thing for black tie formal weddings but if you’re having a small intimate event I wouldn’t worry about it.

I would just let it go. My friend is getting married and put on their invite that they would rather receive cash donations to their honeymoon. I didn't even think anything of it. I guess it depends on how you word it though.

I’m not sure but I think we had it on our invitations to.  It was 8 years ago. We didn’t have a website. Hell I think it’s worried to have one.  I think it’s normal.

I think you're ok since it's so small. I was worried about this too so I made a website and hardly anyone used it!! I dont think there is anything wrong with your format. You went above and beyond to give information!

Most people give a gift or cash when going to a wedding. it's normal don't worry about it

I have been to many weddings and all the invitations I have received included where the couple was registered. I don’t believe you should embarrassed.

That’s normal! Don’t worry about it. I think it’s great to have it on there so people know what you want (and as a guest I can quickly just order something I know you want without having to go look around), just word it nicely. Usually there’s something along the lines of “The best gift we can receive is your presence on our special day.” along with your registry info. Makes it clear you want them to come regardless but if they want to get you something here’s some ideas. 😋
