Should I drop out of college?
I’m a Daca student so I can’t take out federal loans. Due to extra documentation I needed last minute, I wasn’t able to get money. I was only able to get some local scholarships and financial aid but it didn’t cover much. I have installment plans, so I have to pay 1,000 this month, 4,000 on October & 4,000 on November. That’s what the scholarships couldn’t cover. I’m in a college JROTC program so I’ve already gone to ask and they said they can’t give scholarships to non-citizens. It’s disappointing but my schedule is filled with classes, PT training, my teaching observation hours which are required each week & etc. In general, I can’t get a job right now because I have too much on my plate- which isn’t by choice. I obviously need to take classes, obviously need observation hours, & the PT training is required to keep my scholarship that was given to me by the JROTC program. My parents are also struggling rn due to the burial of a family member and the payments on our home. I’m devastated, stressed (can barely even focus in class) & it’s barely the second week of school /: idk if I’ll be able to hold much longer like this because the financial issue is too much.
Also, I can’t take out private loans because I need a co-signer, which no one wants to co-sign for because my family members don’t want any open accounts and some are trying to take out loans already for a house
