So I’m close to starting the mini pill, I’ve got the pills and I’m just waiting for the start of my next period to start taking them. I’m taking the mini pill so that it completely stops my period because I’m a very active person, especially with the cadets, which is where my problem lies because when I’m on camp and we’re in the field, it’s very unsanitary and very hard to deal with my period safely and cleanly and I’ve gotten ill from it before, try as I did to be as clean as possible. So my doctor prescribed me the mini pill so that I no longer have to worry about my period, which sounds great but I don’t understand how it’s healthy or even possible to never have a period? Where does the blood go? What happens to the egg? And whilst my doctor assured me that the mini pill is actually safer than the other pill where you take it for 3 weeks and then have a period but I just don’t get how it works. So if any of you know how the pill can possibly completely stop you from having a period, please advise me. And if anyone has any tips, advice or anything about the mini pill, please share, I could really do with it.
