Sneak peek boy result! Contamination?

I went and got my blood drawn at a participating location for Sneak Peek clinical but the lady didn’t clean my arm before injecting the needle. They take it straight from the vein and they do it all the time there but I’m wondering if she didn’t sterilize it am I at risk for contamination and false positive boy result? We are so excited it came back boy but I’m worried it might be false!!

It doesn’t matter what the blood draw is for they ALWAYS need to clean the arm. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ that’s so bad. I totally understand why you’re skeptical. I’ve heard the sneak peak test is super sensitive so i think it is possible it was contaminated especially if you came into contact with any males before.

I called the clinic to she said it was “a-ok!” That it wasn’t cleaned and also just got this back from the Sneak Peek team. Looks like it’s okay for me to get excited about a boy!

Sounds stretchy, I've never had blood taken and not had the area cleaned. I mean if you had a male touch you where you had blood taken I guess it isnt too farfetched to think it could be contaminated.

Why would it come back false just because she didn’t clean the area? I honestly don’t remember if my nurse cleaned the area of my arm either...
