Help with anal??

So my husband and I tried anal for the first time a week ago and we were both grossed out about the possibility of poop so I did a enema and cleaned out then when we tried to start I did what I had read online about laying and relaxing breathing lots and lots of lube and when he went in it was so painful I COULD NOT stand it I’m usually a pretty tough person I like my sex to be rough but it hurt sooo bad he had to stop before he was all the way inside and when I got up I went to the bathroom to try to pull myself together and I discovered I was bleeding back there?? It hurt for another two days or so!? Is this normal? What should I do to make this easier and more enjoyable? I want to master this!
