My dr sent me to maternal fetal medicine for my ultrasound because I will be 38 when I deliver. I refused the genetic testing so when I went in they started to go over all the statistics and I just couldn't listen to it. My husband made them stop. I was so scared that I couldn't enjoy my ultrasound. But the dr said everything looked good and he didnt see any markers for down syndrome. It can't be completely ruled out since I wont do the tests. But i just like that whole thing caused me unnecessary stress. There was no other reason other than my age. All my blood work comes out fine. BP is good. Babys heart rate is good. No exposures to hurt the baby. I just wish they hadnt sent me there.
