If you are for the death penalty, would you volunteer to watch a live execution performed by the state

Bo

So, my husband and I are watching "Web Of Lies" and a detective says he told a suspect that ..if he didn't return Ashley by Monday, that the jury was gonna give him the death penalty and hed be there to watch it.. like weird threat but ok👍

So then I was like... Do they even do death penalties on tv anymore.. have they ever even done that.. or is that something I've made up in my mind that I think used to happen... Because of old Western movies and junk...

Anywho, came across an odd article about this woman and her husband from Waynesboro, VA who volunteer to go watch people get executed by the state.. which I find morbid.. because a) I'm not for the death penalty.. and because...b) they were volunteering to go to live executions to crimes that they had no connections to (like no one they knew were harmed by these people they watched die)

And I was like well... I guess if you're for the death penalty..that's cool.. at least you can stand behind what you're for.

And I asked my husband if he'd watch a live execution..(he's for the death penalty) and he was like no.. I don't want to watch that.. and then I was like well why are you for the death penalty if you couldn't sit there and watch people die.. because well if you're so cool with the death penalty.. then those for it should have to see what they are for.. people being legally murdered by the state for the crimes they committed.

So, if you're for the death penalty, would you personally volunteer to watch a person be executed by the state... Why or why wouldn't you?
