worth it to have a stroller AND jogger, or just stroller?

I have a Graco travel system that consists of stroller, car seat, and base, plus an extra base. Yesterday in a Burlington store near me, I found a matching Graco jogger travel system with jogger, car seat, and base. It’s half off the online price of $320. Is it worth it to buy this jogger system to have the jogger and give the extra car seat and base to baby’s grandparents? Or am I being impulsive and should just stick with what we already have- the stroller only?

Maybe a bit impulsive? If they'll be at your parents a whole lot, an extra base is a good idea for the infant car seat. An extra stroller that they keep with them is good if they live far away but realistically, an entire system might be too much for occasional visits. LO will be in the infant seat for only so long.

I’d do a super lightweight one that can take your car seat and a full size. After they outgrow the car seat you will find yourself not using the heavy one and only having the lightweight one in the car or for travel.

I found our jogger on a local BST board in great condition! they’re easy to wash and then you can have your cake and eat it too!

Thank you ladies for the input!! We’ve decided to hold off on the jogger for now. We got our Graco stroller travel system for like $100 in summer 2018 when Babies R Us was closing so we can’t return, but I love the advice on looking at umbrella strollers and also determining if I’ll actually be jogging with her/on different terrain enough to make it worth it. Thanks for saving me from an impulse buy (I’d love to blame it on the nesting 😂)!!

I LOVE the jogging stroller a they're my favorite. The wheels don't get stuck like regular strollers. I can jog with them push through the dirt no problem. But it's always up to you

Do you jog? If you don’t, I can’t see why you’d need to have an extra stroller. But if you think it’s worth it, you could always buy it and keep the receipt, don’t open it until you actually find a reason to use it. If you don’t open it by a certain date, return it.

If I were you, I’d wait and see if you need/want a jogger once baby is here. You won’t be jogging/walking on rough terrain for a while, so it’s probably just your nesting instinct that wants to keep buying baby stuff. If you end up needing/wanting a jogger, I’d go with one that is made by a company that specializes in them, or at least look around beyond graco to make sure you’re getting one you really like since it doesn’t need to match your car seat — you can always get a converter for like $30 to click in your car seat. No need to get a whole second system.

Well we have the Doona+ and a jogger. So my answer is yes because that’s what’s practical for our situation. We are obsessed with them both. I’m a runner though.
