When did/will you tell your firstborn about your pregnancy?

My son is 3 and I'm not sure when to tell him about my current pregnancy. Only 8 weeks now so I'll definitely wait until we're through the first trimester. When did/will you tell your firstborn about your pregnancy?

I told her as soon as I got a positive. We sadly lost the first baby, but got pregnant again shortly after (on the 3rd month of trying again) which she was excited about. She was older (just about to turn 8) , so understood better

We told our daughter early and we lost the pregnancy and it was super hard when she talked about the baby whilst we were grieving. This time around we’ve only just starting talking about it (16 wks) and she blabbed it straight away to daycare 🙄 😆 
She is 2.

I told my 3 year old after I took the pregnancy test and had her tell her daddy. She already understands pregnancy and that babies grow in the mommy’s tummy cause she’s seen a few of her aunts go through pregnancy

My first was 6 when I got pregnant and we told her right away. Unfortunately we lost the baby at 17 weeks due to Pprom. Our daughter was crushed. She had gotten so attached to the baby and would tell my tummy good night and good morning. It was so hard seeing her so sad. After that she told us if we get pregnant again not to tell her till we are sure baby will get to come home.
She is 8 now and I'm 34 weeks pregnant. We respected her wishes and waited till 24 weeks to tell her so it would be past viability. She is so exited and can't wait for her sister to get here.
Every situation and child is different so you just have to try and go with what you think will work best for you and your little one.

I didn’t really wait at all. I told her after my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and she is 3 as well. I’ve never had a history of fertility or pregnancy issues though so I wasn’t too nervous to tell her early on. I also felt like I needed a reason to let her know why I was sick all the time because I had severe sickness from 6 weeks on and I didn’t want her to worry.
