Do you need to have baby’s name ready right away at the hospital ?

Still undecided and have it narrowed down to 4 names but just wanting to meet her first and see with one we love that will go with her!!

We did ours on the last day because we didn't decide... you can tell them you aren't ready yet

In the UK you have 42 days to register your baby, ie must have a name by then

My brother and sister in law just had their baby girl and the hospital couldn’t let them leave without recording a name for her.

Pretty much. The birth records person came in our room the next day after our son was born to record the information on his birth certificate.
