When baby gets a little hurt

Is anyone starting the whole “it’s okay, that didn’t hurt” that their baby? My son will sometimes slam him head into my shoulder (he’s done it twice) and I’ll just pick him up and just start talking to him saying he’s okay and it didn’t hurt then he’ll stop before he starts to scream. He has really good head control just when he gets sleepy he doesn’t wanna hold him head up 😂 I did this too with his vaccinations and it worked. He barely cried.
