Pain after cervical check?

37+4- doctor checked me today and she’s still a little high up there and my cervix is closed. 
:( super shocked since all my NST’s show contractions..... 
But ever since she checked me I’ve been cramping really bad in my pelvic area. Is this normal? And will her checking help me dilated any??

I had some cramping and spotting after having my cervix checked. It was pretty uncomfortable. I’ve heard that cervix checks can make you start dilating, but I’m not sure what truth there is to that. It did nothing for me. I was closed at every check, and still closed after they started my induction.

Definitely normal, unfortunately! And honestly it gets worse the further you get. Im due the same day as you though:) haha but i also have a 2.5 year old so i know this from my first!
