Do You Prefer a Male or Female Gynecologist/OBGYN?

Me and my fiancé were in a discussion last night about male and female gynecologist/obgyn’s.

I told him I was worried about who would be checking me for dilation at my future appointments. My current OB is a female. My first appointment was a male and he did a check up down there and I was literally sulking on the inside. I felt so violated and nasty. I know it’s there job but I feel much more comfortable with a female.

Obviously when the time comes to actually have my baby, I won’t care who does it. But at my visits, I want to be comfortable.

My fiancé said that women would probably prefer a male doing vaginal check ups than a woman. I think differently.
