Can I apply for snap if I live with someone who gets them I’m 18 & 33 weeks pregnant. I’m getting told all this stuff about how my baby father is supposed to pay child support and how they come out to check the fridge and things.

Come to check out the fridge? What? Lol. I’ve never heard anything like that. And you’ll just have to do research on food stamps in your state, it’s different in every state. In TN, you can apply for food stamps even if you’re at the same address as long as you buy and eat your food separately. Unfortunately I’m in the gray area, and I barely make too much to get them.

If your living with with your parents and are 18 and pregnant you MIGHT be able to get them most likely not because your still under their roof and probably claim you BUT if your living with a relative and are pregnant with no income you can apply and will get them . For u then when your baby is born they automatically add him or her on and u get money for them on the card . Wic also helps you with baby formula and healthy foods .ur baby's dad doesn't need to pay child support for u to receive snap benefits all u need to tell them is he isn't in the picture doesn't give u money and if they ask if u want to file for child support then that choice is urs u do not have too .

Also if u live with someone else be sure to tell them u only eat what foods an use what hygienes that is already  in the house u dont get money for anyone
