Feeling defeated

39 weeks 2 days. Wasn't able to do a sweep today because my ob's finger couldnt fit through my cervix. What are ways to induce labor that actually work? We're trying next week as well but if I don't go into labor by 41 weeks, I'm having a mandatory repeat c-section. My first I had him at 39 weeks because he was breech. My daughter is head down already but I'm only 2cm dilated and 75% effaced. I know dilation doesn't indicate if I'll be in labor soon or not but it feels like she isn't gonna come any time. I'd like to add that I've had a low risk, smooth pregnancy so far. Same as my first (despite him being breech). No complications then and now.
